NSF check, won't make good, won't pay for virtual services provided ripoff

J.P. Fernandes contacted me in December to provide virtual transcription services to his small law firm, sending me a small retainer.

When the retainer was gone, I emailed Mr. Fernandes an invoice. He paid with a check that subsequently bounced. Between the time that the check bounced and was returned from my bank, I did more work for Mr. Fernandes.

When contacted, he promised to send a replacement check. He has never done this, despite being contacted many times. He was also offered the option of paying by credit card using PayPal, but has never responded to any of my requests to pay for work completed.

J.P. Fernandes does not honor his commitments to pay for work completed and should be avoided by anyone coming in contact with him.
