Watch out - this is a hoax -Calgary Alberta Canada

I received a letter from Nationwide sweepstakes claiming to be located in Kearny NJ and was signed by Tom Gany - however the postmark was Canadian and not from the US - so I was immediaely suspicious. Enclosed was acheck for 2600 congratulating me - asking me to call a number starting with 403 (Calgary) to claim my additional 99,000.

The check was from Malina & Assoc.in New york city - and they do exist - however when I called that number - there is no answer. Second, the check when I photocopied it - if youhold it to the light - shows VOID

Third there is no such thing as Trinity Lane in Kearny NJ and no Tom Gany in NJ - but there is in Canada and a variation on the Gany (Arabic) just outside Kearny
Beware -Beware - definitely a scam
