Wanted checking account number but not state name brands of items sold by their catalog

I called the 800 number and was confronted with alot of background noise and laughter. I called again and spoke to a rep. Who only wanted my approval number. I gave it to him and then he wanted my checking account number. I asked why he needed this since I was pre approved and required no collateral security. He was unable to answer me. I hung up. I called again and again asked why a checking account was required and that before I gave him that info I needed to know what name brands they carried in their catalog. He was unable to answer this simple question so I asked to speak to his supervisor hoping for better results. The supervisor was also unable to answer my simple request to identify major name brands sold by the company he was representing and insisted that I listen to his script written sales pitch. I again told him that I would listen to his speech if he could only answer my question to identify name brands verbally to me. He could not and I hung up on him after a few choice words.
