Ripoff and dishonest

I was inquiring into some credit cards. I had received an e-mail from Nations One Credit Service. I filled in all the info. I could except my checking account number. However, without the number I was unable to get the information on the terms and condition of the offer. The only way seemed to be to enter the checking acct. Number and then hit the continue button, which was the only option. I did so and then immediately got a "Your application has been accepted", which I did not expect.

I immediately called the phone number listed, asked about their terms and conditions and told them that I wanted the application cancelled immediately basically because they did not guarantee any cash advances which is what I basically wanted. I told them that I did not need their service because it was primarily for purchases which I did not want.

I spoke to three different people and was told that they would cancel. This all occurred in early July and the $99.00 charge did not appear on my early August checking account statement. However, when I called my bank's automated customer service phone number, I discovered that Nations One withdrew $99 on August6th. I called information for their phone number (281/465-4112), called the number and got no answer.
