It is illegal to play an international lottery in the United States. Any entity claiming to pay you winnings from a foreign lottery is not legitimate. The check that accompanies your notification is counterfeit, even though it appears to be drawn on legitimate U.S. Busineses (sponsors).

You will be advised by the agent to deposit the check and either wire or mail a cashiers check to the agent to cover taxes, legal fees, processing fees, whatever.in the interim it may take up to six weeks for the counterfiet check to come back to your bank as counterfeit. If your bank has honored the check, you will be liable for the funds, plus the money you sent to the scum of the earth who device this stuff.
