Stole my money

My name is Semeira Hall and i live in Los Angeles recenly i recivied a letter in the mail saying i had won 50,000 dollars and sent me a check for 2965.00 saying that that it was a tax advance and for me to cash the check and call the company back to confeirm the winnings. Prudeential Lotto Management Inc. #1-647-219-4839. Asked for a Alen Majors i wired the mony to a unknow name karen settele in new york. The guy contact me letting me know i would recive my winnings by fedex and ave me some more bogous infomation. The cashier check was fake... My bank account was over draffed for that amount i call the police station here in my city but they would not take the police report saying it would be a wast of time because the letter is form canada and that i need to contact the bank. So i called the bank went in showed them the letter i had recived and the print out of the check i recived they told me they have heard of this scam before but unfortanly im liable for the money been paid out i have no means of paying back this money i had to close my account and go stright to collection... I dont know what im asking for just help to one stop the scam and to find out how i can get help clearing this matter up a phone # of some one i can talk to are do a story about so that people can beawere of whats going on please if you can help me in anyway i would gladly thank you for any help.
