Trek Alliance
Total scam. I am so glad I didn't fall for this!

Miscellaneous

I just read an article on mlmsurvivor.com and I cannot believe how similar my experience was with these guys.

It was October in Phoenix, AZ I was looking for a job because the small internet company I worked for was going out of business. I posted my resume on Monster.com and a few days later I get a phone call from somebody from Trek Alliance-a young thin man with short dark his name escapes me. He told me he saw my resume on monster and wanted to interview me for a sales/marketing position. I told him I had never heard of his company and asked what they did. He said "they were a marketing company for the health and fitness industry". (I just read on mlmsurvivor.com this company describes themselves in the exact words I just posted) He said they were a division of equinox and I think they might have gone under some other marketing name but I cannot remember.

He invited me to a seminar which was held on a Saturday from 8-12. As soon as the seminar started and we watched the videos of all the products they offered eveything from water purifiers to non toxic glass cleaner to weight loss products, I became aware that this was a MLM and wanted to leave. However they didn't give us 1 bathroom break for 3 hours (probably because they knew people would leave) and I didn't want to be rude as just walk out so I sat there. We watched one, happy chirpy person after another talk to us about how much money they made with Trek Alliance. The most interesting was this Bozo Homo blonde guy named DJ. A young man who has a boat, corvette, mercedes, you name it. His story was of tremendous wealth and how just the year before he was practically living in poverty and eating Ramen Noodles everyday was nauseating.

So after the seminar I desperately wanted to get out of there as I wasted my Saturday there and I asked the man who recruited me why he didn't tell me they were a MLM organization and he replied "whats that?" DUH! Totally playing stupid.

Anyone even thinking about doing a MLM or a pyramid scheme needs to read mlmsurvivor.com. Very educational. VERY VERY few people if any actually make money off of these things.
