Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing

Ams is a water meter reading company for the apartments I live in. I noticed my water bill was getting higher and higher, I knew they were ripping me off but could not prove it, So I started reading my meter on the same day that they do, the first day of every month to the first day of the next month. My readings were not even close to the reading that they were giving me. They are charging me for water that I am not using.

The meter reading they gave me for Aug 1, was 238, Sept 1, was 252. The meter in my closet said for Aug 1, was 520 then on Sept 1, the meter said 549. I live by myself, in about 550 square ft I don't have a washing machine and I am never home, the two couples who live on both sides of me, there bill is lower than mine, also my sons live in a townhome owned by the same apartments, they have 4 people living there, with a washing machine, two bathrooms, and about 1800 square feet, there water bill is also much lower than mine. How can that be.

I have complained about this to the leasing company several times, They will not help at all, after all they do get a big cut of the money AMS is charging us. AMS is 3 times higher than the city water company.
