This may be just another ex-wife complaint, but by gosh I'll have my say. To make a long story short I divorced my husband because he was not honest and the lies were getting old. I never thought about taxes when I divorced him, but come to find out he owed money to the IRS. Because he works under the table so he dosen't have to pay, the IRS has come after me. I choose to be a productive person and pay my taxes. I have paid out over $8,000.00 under his social security # because the IRS says they will attach my wages if I don't. What kind of justice is that? Just because I am legally employed, there should be no reason why I should have to pay his taxes.

The children and I did not benefit from any money he made. He would be gone for long periods of time and we worked to support ourselves. I have found out that he has worked in the Laborers union 341, and the IRS has NOT attached any of his wage. Why would they bother when they have me paying on his bill every month? Beware from buying anything from him. Be sure that he can prove he owns it!
