I was receiving about 8 calls a day from Travelagentsgodirect, in which they were insistent about this great deal. I rarely had time and put them off, but eventually, knowing my girlfriend and I were planning a trip I thought I would hear them out.

They describe a great deal (they don't mention the free flights are only money off if you spend x amount in the first place), and say that I have 14 days to cancel, no problems. I sign up and go through an absolute age of questions, to which I constantly have to reply.

So I do a little background checking (after the fact I know, but I figure I can cancel right). So I hear it is a rip off, a scam, and so I went to cancel immediately. I called, and was told it was cancelled. However there was also a phone company they put me onto, so I figured I need to call them too. Only to be told, sorry, need to wait 3 days before you can cancel. So I call later in the week - all should be fine.

Nooooo!!! I get billed $149!! I call to complain, takes me an age to get someone, and then she is simply rude, saying that I was told I had only 7 days to cancel, not 14! She played back a tape, and yes it appears that in the multitude of questions and things being told to me I was told 7 days for this 1 particular part! However, I had cancelled prior to it, just that since it was within 3 days of starting up I wasnt allowed!

So I am $149 down, and when I went to ask further questions she just cut me off!

I have never felt such animosity for a company in my life! It needs to be brought down!
