I applied for a personal loan in the amount of $6000 on 5/16/06. I received a phone call on 5/22/06 from James McGowen that I was approved by a private lender but had to secure the loan with 7 months payment up front in the amount of $720.

James indicated that I had to send the money via MoneyGram to Carole Maclin in Toronto, Manitova, Canada and within 24 hours my loan money will be sent to my personal bank account.

I didn't receive my money at all. I phone James McGowen and he never returned my 3 voicemails that I left, so I dial '0' for customer service and some how Michael Graham pick up and indicated that he had my file and the lender wanted me to send an additional $720 in order for me to have my loan amount.

I refuse to send any more and asked for a refund. Michael indicated that my refund would be sent out on their billing cycle which is the 9th of June and I will receive money next day air via FedEx.

I explained that I needed my money immediately and demand that they send it via MoneyGram, but he refused and said they can only send it out on June 9th because that was their billing cycle.

I will update this file if I don't receive my money via FedEx on June 10th. This is truely a scam after reading previous reports on this company. James McGowen indicated that their company is reputable and been in business for 10 years, but I did not find them listed under bbb.com
