Uncancellable magazine subscription fraud, ripoff targets older individuals

This company contacted my elderly mother and sold her magazines for 11.99 a month; when a charge of 54.99 appeared on her credit card, she tried to cancel the subscription and was told she couldn't. Her credit card company (subject of next report) would not help her. When she told me about the problem (3 or 4 payments of 54.99 later) we were able to get it cancelled—but not without a HUGE hassle and threats of litigation. She recently got her credit card statement and guess what—another charge appeared—but she isn't paying this one; she is cancelling the card. We are also notifying FTC, Postmaster General (this is mail fraud) and the Attorney Generals' offices in Texas and Florida—this has to be stopped.
