Ripoff

I went to the tanning salon to get a one month membership. I talked to the sales rep. Who offered me a one month membership of $37.70, which was a special offer according to him. He told me I could cancel anytime. I specifically asked the sales rep. Twice to make sure my membership would be cancelled at the end of the month. He assured me it would be and that I didn't need to worry about it. So I signed the contract trusting him.

After a month, I called the corporate office to make sure my account has been cancelled and the accountant told my I signed a 2 years contracts and that I can not cancel it, so I have now to pay $37.70 every month for the next 2 years. I told her that it was not what I agreed to but since I signed the contract, they don't want to speak with me.

We contacted the sales rep, the accountant, and the district manager to no avail. The owner never returned my phone calls. After talking to the district manager, she said she didn't care, that it was too late and that there is no need to try to fight it. She admitted to my husband that it was a scam from the top.
