Pacyga Law - Lamey & Pacyga, PA Unethical attorney won't pay his own bill!

I'm a private investigator in Arizona. Most of the work I do is for attorneys. Generally, I get a retainer up front, but Ryan Pacyga said he was in a jam and needed some people interviewed here in Arizona right away. He was referred to me by another Arizona PI who was doing background research for him on the same case.

I did an outstanding job for him and the information I obtained went a long way toward helping his case. Despite this, Pacyga refused to pay me. He gave me the proverbial "run-around" for months on end. He claimed his clients hadn't paid him yet, etc., etc. Eventually, Pacyga flat out told me he felt like paying me was his clients' responsibility, not his.

A little background information: Pacyga's clients are big shot Minneapolis bars and restaurants who are fighting no-smoking ordinances, so they have plenty of money. I'm sure they are paying him well for his services. I even found a quote from Pacyga where he was telling a judge that two months was way too long to wait for a decision.

It's now been well over six months since I completed my work for him and I haven't seen a single dime. I filed a complaint with the Minnesota Bar Association, but they can't force him to pay his bills. This guy is a crook and I would suggest no one trust him.
