I am not a complainer however I have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully by a company in my entire life. My daughter's cell phone will not charge - the charging port is worn out. We sent it to be repaired - US Cellular sent it back stating it had water damage. Ridiculous since it will still work if we charge her battery on my phone and then replace the battery. Everything else on the phone works fine except for the charging port. Nonetheless we filed a claim as we were told to do. On 2/13 the Signal rep says they have to verify service - please call back on Wed or Thurs. I called on Wed and spoke with Crystal? Who informed me that the claim had been denied but the phone would still be replaced using another program and I would be contacted in 24-72 hrs regarding the claim. (This girl was totally incompetent... It took me almost 30 minutes on the phone with her and she finally admitted she was confused.) When I heard nothing I called again today and gave the claim number. The young lady (very polite) who took my information said we had the wrong cell number on the claim and she would have to refile and repeat the process. After thinking about what she had told me, I called and spoke with another VERY rude rep. I wanted to make certain that we had the right phone number on the claim as it did not make sense that my cell number was entered (it was my daughter's phone that was inoperable). This person advised that we did again have the wrong number on the claim, changed it but stated it was going to be denied as we did not know how the phone got water damage. I am furious... First of all I dispute that the phone has water damage at all in the first place. That might be one reason we don't know how it got water damage, as US Cellular claims. The phone works fine but the battery will not charge. Look on the internet - this particular phone has a record of the charging port becoming inoperable. My advice to anyone who has insurance coverage through this company - run over your phone with your car, at least that way you will know how the phone was damaged! Signal has absolutely the worst claim reps I have ever had to deal with and I run a small company. I will be dropping my insurance coverage on these phones after this incident. I won't give Signal another penny of my hard earned money for them to pass along to their RUDE PERSONNEL.
