Miscellaneous

I was approached in Wal Mart by a teenager selling magazine subscriptions to win a trip. I felt sorry for him because I also have a teenage son that will be entering college next fall and I thought about how I would want people to respond to him if he were working hard to earn something like that.

I purchased the subscription at the cost of $46.00 and was given my receipt which I kept. I noted that it said to allow 90-120 days for delivery.

After 120 days, I still had not received a magazine so I called the number on the receipt. I was told that I would receive a complimentary issue within 2 weeks.

I waited 2 months and still no magazine. It has now been 6 months since I purchased the subscription and I have yet to receive anything. When I call, I get a recording that says all of their associates are busy.

The date on my receipt is June 9. Today is December 6. Beware of this scam.
