SOme by the name "Alan Parish" with an Indian Accent called me and said he was a "Government Official" and that I had been selected for a $12,500 grant. He had my name and address and neded my checking account number to complete the transaction.

When I started asking him information about himself, He kept saying I would be fined $5000 dollars for asking for government information.

I asked for a phone number to call him and he gave me 800-410-1682 and he stated that it was for confirmation only. As he was talking to me I called the number from my cell phone and got an answering machine that gave me no information except the "office" was closed.

So I asked to speak with his supervisor about this and he hung up on me.

Beware of anyone asking for any information
