T.E. Schneider Builder And Tom Schneider So called Contractor built a structurally non-sound house RIPOFF

Installed wrong trusses (to save his expenses) and shimmed them to fit. Trusses that are split and nailed by contractor. Roof is unsound and will fall with the next heavy snowfall.

Installed a Bilco basement door incorrectly and continues to leak. Will not do anything about this.

Added an additional $700 for our countertops, general counter top with formica, and now is splitting. Wanted to squeeze some putty in to repair. We rejected this.

Our house is only 9 months old and was a custom built house.

Charged us an additional permit fee for 600. This was a temporary fee in the amount of 400 dollars. Money was returned to him, never returned to us.

We have received estimates for repairs, the trusses and restructuring of our house being the greatest cost. We are looking at approximately $30,000. We cannot sell as is without disclosure.

This contractor needs to pay and his business should cease.
