Fraudulent Investment scam selling stamps and forged stamps at thousands of dollars more than actual market value as long term investments Business Has Moved Ripoff

Miscellaneous

Sunset Collectibles and First Liberty Collectibles were telemarketing scams selling stamps and forged stamps at a price dozens or hundreds of times higher than actual value. They claimed to be able to resell purchased stamps at a ridiculous profit 1-2 yrs later. They also guaranteed to buy back at purchase price anytime. The only problem is that when you need to sell they have closed down shop and moved on changing the company name and place of business.

Sunset Collectibles was run by "David Winston" in Kansas City. I later found out that his business mailing address was a UPS Mail Store P.O. Box. I have seen "Rare Collectible Assets" stamps being sold on eBay. No one bid on them and the paperwork shown used the exact font and colors Sunset Collectibles had used.

Has anyone else out there purchased stamps from these or any other dealers and had them appraised only to find out they are barely worth their face value?
