False impressions of me paying a little money to get a whole lot of money from grants

I was called in feb saying I was eligilbe for a grant. They told me I only had to pay $299.95 and I would receive a package in several weeks on how to get the grants. I was suppose to recieve it in april at least. I still have not got anything yet. Whenever I called at first I got no answer. Then when I did get someone they were rude and would say they didn't know what I was talking about. Also the name that was on my check was a different company. So everytime I called they did not want to help me. Finally the # was disconnected the last time I tried. I'm very angry and wish I never agreed to give out my bank information in the 1st place. I hope I can get my money back soon.
