Of 806 N. Court Apartments Landlord who lies and falsely persecutes in order to steal money from those who rent from him. Ripoff

I moved into this apartment in June. John Potter (owner of apartment building), at seemed to be the average apartment owner. I paid 330.00 for an efficiency apartment and this included a fee 20.00 for safe underground garage parking.

John Potter told me that this building was safe and secure, which is why I moved there in the first place. He did not notify me of the dangerous people inside of this building.in one year I called the Rockford police department several times because of the incompetent neighbor who were on medication to remain stable.

John Potter never did repairs, I had to spend out of my pocket 100's of dollars on apartment repairs that he should have done. John Potter does not care about his tenors he only wants the rent. When John Potter let other tenors who are mentally unstable rent his apartment building, he is a very desperate man.

Renting apartment owned by John Potter is like renting a spot at some unstable mental place. He is swindler and should not own apartments. After about 1 year I started to think about moving.

December 25, my car was vandelized and broken into by someone who was let in by one of the other unstable tenor, causing over 1,000 dollars worth of damage. Of course this interferred with the rent payment in which he should have reimbursted anyway.in April of I spoke with John Potter and gave him a 30 day notice that I was moving by the end of May.

I moved on the last day of May. I called John Potter numerous of time trying to return the apartment keys, but he never responded. I continued to call even after I moved out because I wanted to give him the keys.

I have left my telephone on many occassions for him to call me. After about 2 weeks later he called me and I called him back and asked for an address to send all the keys, I did not want to keep them because they served no purpose. He refused to give me an address to send information. John Potter lied on the amount he claims I owe.

I do keep record and receipts on everything. I want to advise any and every body that John Potter does poor management and business and nobody should rent from this man! John Potter has lost lots of renters because of his poor performances and he hates it when a renter wants to leave his building.

He will even go as far as to lie to get money. He abuses his renters by neglecting repairs and he will even let those who are mental incompotent and dangerous stay, just to get his bill paid.
