Miscellaneous

I'm a consumer who is caught in between scam and debt which was initially paid in full $518 on August 5.in 2000 I lived with a roommate in an apartment complex called the Indigo in Dallas, TX. However, after 6 month later we moved out, at the same time the Apt people accused us having pets which we didn't have as well as carpet damages and held us responsible for $518. However, through out these ordeals we were contacted by Collection Agency name Account Recovery Service address 5001 Sprint Valley Rd. Suite 400 East in Dallas, Texas 75244-3910. We finally agreed to make the payment in full due to other apartments denying us to rent their property. After all this time this amount is still showing on my credit report. I'm a consumer who is attempting to clean my credit history and now I'm being told by JSZ financial CO., INC. They never had other collectors for them and our money literally went in the drain. I've a copy of the letter that I received from the previous collection agency showing I owe them $0 balance. How could the government let people like this collectors scam consumers who doesn't know whether their dealing with a legitimate collection agency or scammers?
