Government Grant Information Center, Grants 4 U Government Grant Information Center tried to get my checking information. Told the employee to visit this site

I received a phone call that showed up as "786 832" on my cell phone caller ID. When I answered the call a young lady "Edina Morris" said she was from Government Grant Information Center and I have $5000.00 grant money waiting for me. She then explained I would just need to provide my bank account information so they could deposit the money into my account. I would then receive a "Confirmation code" that I would need to use when I call the "Legal Dept." of the company to confirm this information was accurate. Since I have worked for the 2 largest internet companies and have seen first hand people get scammed out of thousands of dollars, I explained to her that I would need to check into the company, she gave me the information I requested, and I then asked her to please call me back in 5-10 minutes.

I went to bbb.org and did a search on the name of the company and it showed they had an "Unsatisfactory" rating. My husband then referred me to this site. When I saw other people had unfortunately given their information, I waited for her to call back. And she did.

I then explained to her that I have also worked in several call centers and I wanted to let her know about the companies practices. I told her to check usacomplaints.com, bbb.org; and explained that the company is not legitimate and in fact is ripping people off. She seemed to be taken by suprise and when we hung up, she definitely sounded down.

Hopefully she does look into it.
