Miscellaneous

I was contacted via phone relative to a $5000 card that I thought at the time would help me re-establish my credit. Three weeks and $299 later I received this "package" via USPS. It was not what I agreed to to the fact that the $5000 limit was suddenly $2500 and there was an additional processing fee of $39.95. I should have known something was wrong when the sales representative who called me gave me the customer service number only. Endearing as he was. Of course... He advised me that if I ever wanted to contact him that this number 1-866-384-0341 was the way to get hold of him.

I called this number on several occasions trying to get in touch with him, only to be told that the number I had reached was not in the "same building?" I no uncertain terms, I had no chance of speaking to the individual who sold me ($299) this card program. When I finally received the "package" 3 weeks later and it obviously was not what I had agreed to, I called customer service. I must say they need to do better when it comes to customer courtesy. When I advised the rep that I was not satisfied, that this was not what I ordered, and I wanted a refund minus any processing fees, she advised me that she could not issue a request for a refund, because the company issuing the card was a third party company. Very, very, very rude. Her voice rose in an absolute negative manner. I advised her that I am a customer service rep myself, and she could do better about her tone and attitude, especially in a customer service, business environment. If I am refunded any of my monies, I'd be surprised. I made sacrifices in my day to day life to send this money.

I was told that I would receive an administrative call... Right! These people are selling a product for $299 and are not devuldging the specifics in any way. I had no idea that this would involve "deposit slips." Hell why would I be interested in sending my money to New York, so that someone could tack finances charges on it just to give it back to me for the sake of having a Master Card. I was advised that this was an unsecured card... Lie. Help
