Ripoff! Called on home phone and offered a credit card with $5,000. Limit for $249 fee

I was contacted via home phone for the offer of a credit card with a 5000.00 credit limit for the one time fee of 249.00, this happened in September. I called back in Oct. 2004 and asked where my cc was and why I was double billed (once in Oct. And once in Sept) they said they would take care of the double billing after I sent them proof. I asked to cancel my request for card due to the fact it had been over 30 days and I still had not rec. It.

They said they could not cancel.in Nov. I contact them again about the double billing of 249.00 and to cancel due to no credit card. They said I could not cancel and that thier records show that I was only billed on Oct. 5.in Dec. I rec. A package from Centurion with alot of free stuff advertised on "flyers", and no credit card, however the cover letter states that I will be rec. My card in 25 days. Jan. 21 contact them again same issues. They are very rude and they explain to me that the for in the envelope for an acess money now *debit* card is the card I had applied for and I needed to mail that in. They were very rude as I explained this was suppose to be credit not debit.

I was told that acess thier sister company had my info and they could not be held accountable at this time for the card or the double billing of the 249.00. I called acess moneynow at which time they informed me that I had been scammed. I talked to a lady named Angie who told me that she had tried to contact them at various times that they had been rude except one time they spoke to someone who told her to contact Brian Hill who was the "man in charge". They have never been able to confirm this or even speak to anyone by this name, however she feels it could be true since this person giving the name appeared to have some sympathy for the situation.
