Public Adjuster Withholding My Insurance Settlement Check

I called AAA Public Adjuster on Nov 3 to handle a claim with my insurance for property damage. The case was settled and my insurance company sent him a check on Dec 3 and another on Dec 18. On Dec 18 I called Michael Leon to let him know that I wanted to get my house fixed before the holidays, but he went on vacation, so I started dealing with Terrel. On Dec 26 I told him the same thing, that I wanted my house fixed before the holidays. He said he would not have handled things this way, but he told me the first figure was 2950 and that he would send me an email so I could sign off on it. He also knew those figures were not right, I could tell by our conversation, and when I did my own adding it was not right either.

I called him and told him that the email he sent me had wrong figures, and he sent me an email on Jan 8 with the right figures. I signed off on it and I still did not receive my check. I had my son contact him and Terrel was supposed to drop it off, and I still did not get it. He is mad because I reported him to the BBB for being unprofessional and trying to keep my check. He stated to my son that I reported him, so he thinks he can keep my check. I want my check from my insurance claim. I called Michael many times and texted, and he thinks he can keep my check. I made a police report because it is fraud.
