Ig comp. Ripping off small people

Had chrysler 300 stolen in sept. Got insurance check to pay off car we had to sign it and send to them. Payoff at that time was $10,350. Check was made out for $10,600. Should have got back $250.. But they did not endorce check when they got it, sent it to bank, didnt cash, we had talked to them a day before we sent check, told them we had signed it and sent it out. We was not notified that check did not clear. Our payments to them should have been done at first insurance check. We paid it off and extra. But they took another payment out of wifes checking actt. Not ready for it so it overdrafted her, on that one a 4 others, because they took our money, tried to resolve it countless times, had insurance maan call them to, they didnt care, did not admit fault, had another check wrote out sent it to them, they did same thing again, again took a payment out, same result.in more losses to us. They kept call us at work, home, all week allweekends till ten at night. Harrasing us, saying we were late on payments, could not talk to them, nobody on phone would listen or even ack liked they understood their mistake, they have killed our credit rating, put us way behind, and still are harasing us. Tried to have managers or someone with athorty put on phone, never happens, they will not listen to anything. I have check for payoff, told them not sending it till they compensate us for our losses and strighten out credit. And now the payoff is more than the check, they think we should have to pay for their mistake, i not the dumb one that did not sign two different checks, at a point where need to know if should get lawyer and sue, or what to do?
