Miscellaneous

When contacting Microsoft Windows Live, somehow I was connected to Live-Tech who stated that they were the windows support for Microsoft. (they had an accent all all support systems now). After explaining the problem, they asked permission to control my computer. I agreed. Then they said that a charge of $179.99 would need to be paid in order to get the problem fixed. I agreed and paid by credit card. I singed an agreement and all looked legal, until a few weeks ago. I kept getting calls from foreigners with a thick accent telling me that windows live was no longer available and that they wanted to refund the money but they needed by account number. I refused and told them to just send a check. They kept calling me 3 and times a day. Then they started calling my husband's phone with the same language and now they were threatening. Today they called and a phone number showed up 425-668-9652.
After looking up various webpages for scams, I was able to erase the program they recommended called clearomizer and turned off the remote control access to my computer. Since I did this, they have called 6 times with the same thing.
