Miscellaneous

I signed up for a 30 day free trial on Monday 09/02 for their service to monitor my credit bureau accounts. I reviewed the services they offer through Saturday 09/07 and decided I really don't like their services. Their reports are not comprehensive and they use a different scoring system than the three major credit bureaus to arrive at credit scores. There are better services available for much less money. I cancelled my account on 09/07, well before the end of the 30 day free trial. On 09/09 I logged into my credit card account and found charges of $32.95 applied to my card by them. I called them immediately and they came up with some bogus excuse that I ordered something that was not part of the 30 day free trial, which I did not do. There was no point in arguing with them because they barely speak enough English to even communicate that much, which sounded like it was being read from a practiced script. No matter what questions I asked I got the same canned answer. I filed a dispute with my credit card company regarding the charge. Don't know if my credit card company will reverse the charges or not, but I sure hope so. Lesson learned - again! - there is no such thing as a free trial! All of these jerks are out for one thing and one thing only: to get as much of your money as they possibly can, any way they can, legally or illegally.
