An female individual from some collection agency called and stated that I owed $300 in back payments on a loan and that if I didn't pay it by a certain time, that I would be arrested. They also threatened me with job termination. The individual on the phone was foreign and spoke poor english. She would not give a name. Called back and a male answered stating that he was an attorney from the "American Legistlation Department" and threatened to sue - he didn't speak very good english either. I don't know of any collection agency that threaten arrest and job termination for non-payment.
