Palisades Collection - AT&T
Ripoff I haven't had AT&T since '99, I just recieved a collection letter from another agency stating that I owed $183.00

This is a good one. I haven't had AT&T since '99, I just recieved a collection letter from another agency stating that I owed $183.00.

Upon calling, they verified that I owed it. I called the billing dept. Of AT&T to make sure it wasn't a scam. AT&T verified that it had been sent to collection but couldn't tell me why.

So I called back the current collection agency and they had mentioned that if I don't pay this by Sept. 1st, "Palisade" would report me. I asked for a supervisor, same thing. I asked for some sort of hard paper, "that will take 3-4 months because everyone is doing the same thing, asking for a reason they owe this."

So, call me an idiot, I paid, but, according to the current collection agency, it still may show up. Now, I've never received anything from AT&T, nor from Palisade but suddenly I've got 4 days to pay. This sucks. Defamation of credit lawsuit, here I come.
