My 18-year-old daughter who is attending Jr. College got a phone call from Shane Smith employee number 20313 on Jan. 4 at about 9:30 in the evening. Shane told her that she was one of 600 people who qualified for a $50,000 free government grant. He asked her if she had a bank account and did she pay her taxes. And was she 18.

He told her he was not asking her for any money right now even though she volunteered that she had her credit card. He told her she had 15 days to pay $239.99 to receive the paperwork to apply for the grant. He assured her that everyone that applied received the grant money. She gave him her bank account number and then he switched her to a supervisor Patricia who told her that her conversation was going to be recorded.

A man's asked questions, her name, address, bank number etc. Patricia then told her that she would receive the paperwork 10 days after her money was withdrawn from her account.

After our daughter hung up she got worried and called back and got only voice mail.

We tried to call the number on the caller ID back and got an answering service in Gulf Breeze Florida?
