S ripoff

Recently, I got a call from government grant saying I am eligible to get a grant upto $30,000. Somehow as I am new to this country, I trusted them and gave my account information thought they already had part of it. I had asked them if i can deny the grant before they take out the money from my account.

And they said it was possible and so i gave all the details. I called up on 20'th, 2 days before they were to take my money and said I was not interested and one woman curtly said it was not possible and it was not in their programme to deny. I called up once again the customer service number and that guy said, I had to call atleast 72 hrs before they access my account.

I had no other go other than to contact my bank to tell about them and to give the check number i had given to those people. But even then $249 was gone from my account.

I am sorry to say that, I have got such a bad experience as soon as i entered this country and surprised that such companies still exist, though there are so many "rip-off" reports about them.

CAn anyone please help me get my money back?
