Spontanious airbag deployment while driving

The left side airbag in my Mazda 2007 CX-9 with 92000 miles deployed while I was driving on the highway at 60mph, causing me to be unable to see out of the left side of the car. Me and my children could have been killed. My left arm was bruised and had a severe chemical burn. I did not hit anything, and nothing hit me. I was able to pull over without incident. There wasn't a scratch on the car. Filed a claim with my insurance, and took the car to the dealer. The insurance denied the claim because it was clearly mechanical failure. Travis at Mazda customer service said Mazda will not inspect the vehicle to determine what happened, or if it may happen again to someone else, possibly causing severe injury or death. They also will not inspect my other airbags to determine if they are safe, or pay for any repairs. They said I could write a letter to their legal department if I felt like it.
