An Apartment Rental Fraude

I have used craiglist for a vacation apartment rental in New York. We have contacted some landlords and unfortunately we selected one and stated contact with this guy named Mark Lumar. We exchanged some e-mails regarding amounts, paperwork and policy.
After reading the contract agreement for the rental we also requested full value details however after we have transfered the 50% and the refundable deposited the guy started to mess up show that it was a fraude. He requested the aditional 50% to close the deal and we started to see that this guy was not trustable and for our surprise when we contacted craiglist to report this fraude, first no answer and afterwards just a few info without any involvement. This company is not a serious company, and do not support their customers so highly do not recoment using their services as it is a non trustable and not a serious company.
