Miscellaneous

I bought a used car from the dealership above on 5/6. They gave it to me a day later. They were suppose to check out the brakes and windows. They did this and after that they had the car inspected and a sticker was put on it. Drove the car for two weeks and noticed a loud sound. Brought it to my mechanic and he told me that there was a hole in my muffler and that the car should not have passed inspection. I called the place that I bought it from and all they told me was that I would need to bring the car back up to where I bought it and they would be able to work out a deal with me. I couldn't take the chance and bring it back up there as I had my grandchildren with me and so i had my mechanic fix it. I also contacted MASS DOT to report this and they sent someone out to see what happened and they sent me a report stating that the muffler had been duct taped and that this is how it passed inspection. Don't know where to go from here.
