I received an email from a friend in dublin that i have known for 30 years with a link to this company. On opening the link trusting it because i thought it came from my friend of 30 years i found this company offering information about working from home. I filled in the information asked for up to the point where they asked for 99 usd at which point i closed the site down. Being suspicious of the link i went to my bank and did a balance inquiry to see if any funds had been taken by this company and it seemed nothing had been taken. On returning home i contacted my bank to double check only to be told that this had taken 99 usd from my account without my permission so i put a stop on my account. On 14/5 i emailed them to demand the return of these funds but to date this company has not made any contact with me or refunded the money. So i have now been dealing with santander for over 1 year to have this money refunded as a case of fraud (santanders claim is that no customer will lose money due to fraud). Santander looked at this case and decided it was not fraud. The link i opened was sent from my friends email that was hacked and this link was sent to over 30 others and i sent no information to anyone giving them permission to take these funds. How did they get my details? I am in the position now of wondering who is worse this company or santander.
