Big rip-off

I was contacted by this company called fundamental consumer strategies (which they refer themselves as mastercard) on nov. 3 by a representative name frank. He went into a whole spill saying they had a special offer by mastercard for a limited time offer to receive a mastercard with a credit limit of $2,000 and the one time fee would be $299.00 which he said would be taken out of my checking account for nov. 19.

He confirmed all the benefits of the mastercard and said i would receive it in 7-10 business days. After agreeing with it, he put his supervisor on the phone to confirm the offer and his name was michael bivens. They gave me a confirm# of 1323529 well the amount was taken out of my checking account on mon. 11-22-04. I waited days and days and then weeks, i called the toll free number 1-866-333-1593 several times and i would get a busy signal or the line would just ring and ring then a recording would come on saying the representatives are busy to try your call later.

It was difficult to reach anyone and finally i was able to reach a representative name amy, i explain to her that they took $299 out of my checking account and it's been 3 weeks that i had not received any credit card. She then told me i should receive it in a few days. A week went by and still no card, i called back with getting a fast busy signal alot, finally able to reach a another representative name melissa, she said she would expedite it. It has now been 6 weeks and i'm not able to reach them, they now have a recording saying the office is closed for the holidays and to please call back jan. 3rd.

I contacted the better business bureau. I am determined to get my money back from these crooks. They should be locked up for taking advantage of people.
