I saw a "story" in the online version of The Croydon Advertiser newspaper about a housewife who had achieved expensive teeth whitening treatment for just £2 by combining the products from two separate "free" £1 trials. She was photographed and quoted and in her quotes gave the online addresses of the two free trials. I went online and signed up for the free trials. The products duly arrived and my bank account was debited £2.62 for postage and packing each time. I then noticed that my bank account was due to be debited £62.74 by WhiteningFast. I went online and cancelled my "account" with the company on 6th May and received confirmation of the cancellation. I also tried to get my bank to stop the payment. However payment was taken on 8th May. My bank say they cannot recover the monies retrospectively.
