Miscellaneous

On 6/2 I got online to find some tech support for Adobe Lightroom. When Neel answered, he told me he could remotely fix it. I didn't think anything about it because we use remote all the time at work.

As soon as he took control of my computer, he went into DOS and all the programs on my hard drive started flashing accross the screen. I firmly believe he cloned my hard drive.

He then told my I had a trojan program and was trying to access all my banking info and it would crash my computer. He told me he could fix it for 469.00.

I hung up, unplugged that computer and went straigh to my old comuter to change all the onling passwords I could think of. Monday I cancelled credit cards, called banks, equifax, the FTC and the Attorney General.

I'm hoping I got it stopped. This has be a real pain in the tush to have to contact everyone and now wait for new cards. I hope you can do something to stop these scumbags.
