Miscellaneous

There seems to be a thread here, I have seen a few people mention tat they communicated with microsoft tech support who wanted hundreds of dollars to receive remote assistance in cleaning their pc issues. Microsoft "lectured me about other con artists online. I had a subscription to mcafee av/pc protection. A company called cnet put a worm/trojan in my computer, flashing displays of pc errors. So i phoned mcaffee to renew. They too wanted to take control of my computer for several hundred dollars to clean up system. I refused. The woman got into my computer and commenced to delete change and add items to my system. While on cell phone, my home phone rang, it was guruaid on caller id. Employees call themselves gurutechs. He screamed at me, stating i would be sorry if i didnt unplug my computer and hang up on the other rep. He alsoo told me to put a stop payment on the renewal fee. I promptly did all, but now my computer is in an utter mess. Loss of programs, photos etc... Crashes. Cant trust anyone these days, when i told one rep this he was inscenced at me and told me he wouldnt trust me either. Seems like india is fixing an internet sabotage on us through microsoft, mcafee and webbroots. This crap of taking over someones computer remotely needs to be regulated. And i'm cereal!!
