Miscellaneous

A polite man was selling subscriptions door to door. He said he was trying to raise money for school. I asked him how the whole system works with Millenium Sales. He has a very believable story about how the company is working with low income individuals to help them raise the money they needed to go to school. I wanted to buy my Mom a magazine subscription for her birthday, so I thought this would be a great way to do that & help out someone in need. I paid part of the balance, he told me I'd receive a phone call from Millennium to confirm the order. I never received the phone call, so I called them several times. Everytime I got a recording & the mail box was always full so I couldn't leave a message. I got a funny feeling that maybe I had been scammed so I never sent a check of the remaining amount. I figured when the company didn't receive the remaining amount, I'd hear from someone then, it's been almost a month now & I still haven't heard anything from Millenium. They will not receive any more money from me. I'm upset about how unprofessional this company is & I'm wondering if they are scamming/using these individuals that are selling for them to do their dirty work.
