Miscellaneous

After I was sold a portable Hard drive for backing up all my files on my IMac, I was told that I needed to repurchase a myTechHelp service contract. I purchased a one year contract last August, I have until the beginning of Sept for my contract, but was told I did not. I was not told this information when I purchased.
Also August I purchased a one year virus scan system, now I am told it expires the beginning of June. I was not told that I was able to get my 49.99 back within 90 days. I recently was told I should have been told, but it was too late and I could not get my refund. They would not extend my contract for the amount of my refund, instead they offered me 2 $100.00 restaurant certificates. Well this too is a scam, as you can only get certain dollar amounts from selective places and than can only use small dollar amounts at a time. I will not get this service again. I will admit that the techs are amazing. But, customer service and scams out way their abilities. I am sending the unit back and asked that they send me an email stating that once they receive the unit I will be sent my $149.99. I was told that they are not allowed to send me an email.
