Centurion Benefit Service ripoff, fraudulent Canadian scam to Americans

Miscellaneous

I was contacted December 18 by a woman named Dina informing me I was approved for a MasterCard with a $2000.00 limit, no annual fee, monthly fee and no interest for 3 years. All I had to do was put up a $249.00 one time fee to get the card. I asked if this was a secured card and was told no it was unsecured. I asked if the 249.00 was put on my first months bill because right now I could not afford to pay upfront. Dina went on to explain that right away I could take up to $500.00 cash withdraw per day if I wanted and I could set up a date for the 27th for the money to be withdrawn, if that would help me. With it being Christmas this sounded perfect. I finally said OK. I figured with all the benefits I was getting I couldn't go wrong. So I ended up giving my bank account #, along with SS #, etc to Dina.

She then told me to complete the offer I had to transfer over to the verification department to get my approval code. After a moment I was connected with a man that introduced himself as Robert Holman from the verification department. I was told that the conversation had to be recorded, or it was illegal. So he connected me with an automated recording and all I had to do was respond after the beep. He said after that he would give me my approval code. He mentioned he would be on the line if listening in case the automated system acted up or something. It first prompted for the operator to enter their ID # or authorization code first and I heard Robert say 9002. I even wrote that down for future reference. After I had given all the information, it stated some things that I didn't agree with so instead of answering yes I said I do not know and hello. I wanted to speak to Robert before I continued on. I could hear a click and Robert said he was on the line. I wanted to see how soon I would receive my card. I was also told up to 25 days but usually only 7-10. Maybe more due to the holidays, FedEx would deliver it. At the time I didn't give it a second thought but he told me he needed to stop the recording. I assumed he would answer my question and continue on with the recording. He never did. He gave me my approval number and told me to hang onto it because I would have to have it to activate my card when I received it. He also asked me if I had the number to customer service, the 866-784-0260 number.

Saturday afternoon, I called 866-784-0260 and got a recording, I then called 888-247-9380 and got someones voicemail. That's when I got online and discovered it was a scam. Hopefully, I discovered it soon enough and they don't try to debit it until the 27th. I told them I would not have the $249.00 in full until then. I hope everyone else either gets there money back or gets justice.
