Woke up by phone call, stating the wanted to send a free' complimentary welcome gift to me in the form of magazines. I asked if this was associated with publishers clearing house and was given the impression they were working with them. They asked for a credit card acct number for shipping and handling. I foolishly provided that info. They wanted to send me 6 magazines per month. Advised them I DID NOT WANT 6 mag, they then said they would send 4 per month for the next 30mths and charge $30 for them.
Requested they cancel... Got call a couple of days ago wanting to give a 20% discount if I would pay the full amt now. Again said if was to be cancelled, advised that the caller had no authority to do so. Did get phone # for customer service 1800 247-2477.
Plan to advise credit card not to honor anything from this company and will call the state Attorney general.
