Once in a blue moon, I have to bring my wife out of Poughkeepsie station, south to NYC
On 4/11 we parked in a handicap spot right in front of the main doors of the lobby. (I think its spot 222, handicap) My first question I asked my wife is I wonder were the machine is to pay for the parking? Mind you I get to the station around 5:45 am, its still pitch dark out, and see no machine at the main doors? I look around to ask someone if they knew. I have a disability and it takes me a bit longer to move. Next thing I know the train is getting ready to leave south bound, this is a bit after 6 am. So at this point I have to board this train. We get back to the car around 3:30pm and notice the $15.00 ticket on my window for a $2.75 fee. I would pay this fee any day all day compared to NYC rates. I called the next day and emailed Lauren about my concern. Her answer is that there are 3 machines on the 3rd floor and 2 down stairs on track 2 adjacent to the garage. My question is why cant this information be on the main doors of the lobby? Does a little information hurt? No one has time for hide and seek. Now comes the lowest money scam I ever seen. I sent the $15.00 check out on 4/13, yesterday on 5/6, I get mail from LAZ stating I have an open violation for total of $10.00 posted against my car? I called and was told by some young girl that I am 14 days late on my payment? I asked her to look at the postmark from the postal system and tell me when the check was posted? She tells me we do not go by that! I asked for a supervisor I am not paying for the mail not being prompt. She gets back on the phone and said the super said she would give me a 1 time grace on the $10, go figure? Super said I did call the day after the ticket. Now I notice check # 2266 was cashed today, whats up with that? 5/6 and you cashed it finally. I will give you the benefit to explain, if not this can be expedited to other powers.
