Person impersonating phone company called us to tell us that they would cut our phone service if we did not pay our outstanding bill. My husband gave his credit card info only to realize within 30 minutes that he was scammed when the fraud line from his bank called him to ask if he had wire transferred 250 dollars to western union.
I got a similar call tonight. The caller, a woman hung up once she realized I was suspicious. Her number was
516-451-8303. It is registered in the floral park, New York area.
