Miscellaneous

Call came impersonating grandson. Driving home with friend on "starter" licience couldn't stop in time and clipped the bumper of a car driven by an older man. Older man taken to an ER. Police gave young man a DUI and he had spent the night at the courthouse. A hearing before a judge resulted in his being able to have his record cleared of all charges if he could just raise the money for the ER visit (which turned out okay) and the car repair. Since this older man had a plane to catch, (He teaches English as a second language in S.A.) the needed money should be wired via Western Union to Quito, Equcador.
"Grandson" had, had all personal items taken from him, but people at the courthouse had been very kind and he expected to be able to call once I returned wiring the money, but I couldn't tell anyone about this or call him.

When I didn't get the call. I made a call that disproved this happening and was successful in thwarting the transfer.

4/19 received a second call with same voice and saluation. Hung up.
