On december, 12 I called "The Pink Plumber" regarding septic cleaning which they ADVERTISED FOR $195.00. I got an appointment for the next day December 13 that this company The Pink Plumber will be at my home to clean out my septic tank. I was impressed with their billboard that they represent breast cancer. My environmental specialist worker was (plumber) - Ben Harris. I told and explain to him the situation about my septic tank. Mr. Harris said that the total price would be $444.85. My understanding from their advertising ($195.00) is the price to clean the septic tank, which the receptionist who answers the telephone does not explain. I inform Mr. Harris do not do any work because I do not have enough money. He proceed to go in the back yard and dug up the septic tank to show me. He was very persistance and aggressive in the matter. I again informed him do not do any work but he did. After showing me the location of the septic tank, he informed me that I owed him $125.00 to come to my home and to call back after the first of the year and this money will be applied to the balance due. I have since ask other neighbors in the subdivison and NO ONE has an encounter like I have with a septic tank - plumber company. The companies will immediately give the customer a complete flat rate. I have written the Pink Plumber with an complaint with no response as of one week. The prices for work done by pink plumber is outrageous and an insult to the consumers. Pump tank $195.00, filter-$138.00; hydro jet cleanmain line $334.95, service charge $125.00; additional waste per ft.$96.25 1 1/2 ft extra, environmental fee $15.00. All these fees were never explained over the phone to me as a customer. I am requesting a refund of my $125.00. My contract no. 43209 (receipt number) Your response in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
