Went to John Evans referred by Smog Dog in Yucca Valley to diagnose to pass smog check. After $700 worth of work, my truck, which had not given me any trouble and I've had for years, smoked and quit on the way home. Twice. Then quit in the middle of a dangerous highway on Easter Sunday. I live in the high desert in a rural area and had to abandon my truck in the desert for 3 days as I spent hundreds of dollars on cabs, towing (I had to tow it twice) and rental car. I called Evans repeatedly, who was useless and lamely offered to help. I towed the truck to 29 Palms and had another mechanic referred to be by a friend who is a police officer. They determined my truck was blown and beyond repair. I was very patient listening to a laundry list of his personal problems but when he made a remark about how horny he was I thought that was extremely out of line (I am a single woman) and was uncomfortable deaing with him. I have a printed transcript of text messages in which Evans threatened to put ME in jail for harrassment if I contacted him again.in the text message he slurs my character and insinuates I'm a prostitute. This is unacceptable and nothing less than sexual harrassment.
